Changing the Status Quo
Friday 11th June 2010
On the 4th of July 2009 Victory Motorcycles celebrated 11 years in production which by motorcycling manufacturing timelines is a mere blink of an eye. It has been over sixty years since any new touring American motorcycle has entered the world market and succeeded but Victory has just broken the drought.
In 1998 Polaris, a $1.9B (55-year-old) NY Stock Exchange listed company that had specialised in snowmobiles and ATVs launched Victory to the world. From the outset the Victory motorcycles set a new benchmark in machines that combined cutting edge design with superb performance, quality and comfort.
Victory’s unique styling is influenced by design consultants such as Arlen and Corey Ness; a family who are attributed in laying the foundation for today’s custom motorcycles around the world. It is this custom modern styling that gives the Victory rider a machine that is truly unique and promotes individuality.
The unique Victory styling is equally matched with their performance. The choice of either the powerful 100 cubic inch (1634cc) or the adrenalin pushing 106 cubic inch (1731cc) V-twins ensure all Victory motorcycles have the performance to match their looks.
The Victory range caters for riders seeking a premium tourer, modern custom street cruiser or a hard edge muscle machine. All machines are supported with a comprehensive range of accessories to ensure all Victory’s can be uniquely tailored to meet each customer’s personal taste and requirements.
The line up is impressive with the Victory Vegas offering the cool custom cruiser looks, the muscle cruiser Hammer with its all out sports performance, while the Kingpins give the rider total comfort and power for open road. These machines coupled with the outstanding Vision and the eye catching Ness Series allows plenty of choice in the Victory range.
Arguably Victory’s most exciting and unique motorcycle is the Victory Vision; a machine built from the ground up that changed the rules on motorcycle design forever. The Victory Vision is built on an aluminium cast chassis with a styling that is instantly recognisable and totally unique. This revolutionary design with its 106 cubic inch engine, coupled with some of the some of the most modern comfort features to be on any motorcycle, ensures Vision is a world-class premium tourer.
For the customer seeking the ultimate in individuality of custom machine, the Ness Signature series delivers what other brands can only dream of. All Ness Signature machines are individually numbered and customised to a level that guarantees attention wherever they are seen.
The launch of Victory into Australia was in response to significant research, which found that Australian consumers wanted genuine alternatives to the touring and street cruisers that were currently available. Victory has answered this call with their flagship showroom and service centre in Melbourne and dealerships in Newcastle, Mackay, Brisbane and Darwin.
Victory offers the rider an American motorcycle that isn’t already on every street corner. By choosing to ride a Victory the rider gets a machine that is truly different and represents true individuality.
