Today’s Youth, Tomorrows Future

Wednesday 14th May 2008
An inspirational book aimed to motivate teenagers about their future and give them positive down-to earth advice about communication, respect, goal setting and how to reach their full potential. What could be more important in today’s society, as young people are increasingly faced with the pressures of alcohol, drugs and crime. ‘Success: You can make it! How young people can choose confidence and succeed’ is a life changing read for any young person aged 14-24.

Inspiration and motivation to succeed couldn’t come at a better time, as Australia is facing the most violent crime surge in its history; especially amongst the younger generation. As a lawyer, television presenter, media commentator, author, and one of Australia’s most innovative teenage success coaches, Michael says that teenage offending and drug taking is on the increase and that parents need to be aware.

The vast array of illegal party drugs on the market at present is making young people do crazy things. Every week there are hundreds of reports of teenage crime in Australia because of the increase of drugs on our streets.

‘What I have put in the book is the type of information they don’t teach in schools. In the majority of school curriculum, little attention is given to instruction and advice on how to achieve positive attitudes in pupils’ individual lives,’ he said.

A 10 year veteran of the Victoria Police Force and now a leading criminal defence lawyer, Michael has seen first-hand the destructive effects of teenage crime both on the streets and in the courtroom. In parts of his new book, Kuzilny draws on some of his own experiences as a youth, which, he admits sometimes veered on the wild side and ended up in court on one occasion. ‘However, I knew I wanted to be a real achiever, a super achiever – and that is what I set out to be,’ he said.

The book is packed with practical wisdom and the style is entertaining and interactive, with a range of real life stories. The philosophy behind the book and positive messages makes for interesting reading and offers practical guidelines for young people to adopt and adapt to their own lives.

Success: You Can Make It! is a supercharged book for young people as well as for parents, grandparents, school teachers, youth workers and anyone who wishes to positively influence the lives of young adults for the better.

Unlike any other motivational book, this step-by-step guide is helping young people improve their self image, build better relationships, resist peer pressure, achieve goals and live offence free lives. Michael uses his life experience to mentor young people towards achieving success in their life journey, demonstrating that ‘almost anything is possible with a strong belief’.

Success: You can make it! is published by New Holland Publishers and can be purchased through all leading retailers. RRP $19.95.

Michael Kuzilny is delighted to be available for interview.
